What is Samurai Deeper Kyo?

The story starts when a traveling medicine man, Mibu Kyoshiro, stumbled across a young and witty bounty hunter, Shiina Yuya, who is traveling in search for her brother's murderer. During one fateful battle, an evil identity appeared from within Kyoshiro. It turns out to be "Demon Eyes" Kyo, a legendary samurai who slay thousands of men, who was apparently trapped in Kyoshiro's body and intends to return back to his original body. Old and new friends were met along the way and together, they journeyed to the Mibu lands, each which their own task to fulfill, battling enemies fearlessly along the way.

First off, Contest #6 has ended! Results of the contest could be found at [link] for more information!

Second of all, regarding the club submissions. From today onwards, I have decided to upload the thumbnail images instead of the actual image. Therefore, for those viewing the submissions in the club, they will only be able to see the smaller thumbnail preview of the actual image. This is to encourage viewers to click on the actual deviation link if they wish to see the original copy.

Is this okay with all the members? If the majority is fine with it, then I will continue using this method of submission for the club.

Hie there! How have everyone been doing?

There is not much update, really. Since the series has rightfully ended some time last year. And I am pleasantly surprised that more people are coming in AFTER the series has ended compared to when it was still ongoing.

If anyone has any bit of news SDK related, it'll be nice.

Well, ~KYOtoSORA mentioned in a note about a new series Kamijyo-sensei started.
It is called Shirogane no KARASU, or Silvery Crow. Thank you for the info!

They were recruiting for translators a few months back. I am assuming they had gotten their translator, seeing as Kuu-scans took up the scanlations. Here's the link below:

Not to mention, there are various other fanstuff and updates there. Much better than the updates I would be able to supply here. LoL

I've only read the first two chapters, so I can't give a decent summary for the story. But it's basically a story of a well-knowned 'treasure hunter' *coughthiefcough* and a female thief looking for a legendary treasure, or something along those lines. If you're familiar with the series King of Bandits Jing you'd get what I mean. ^^

If you want to favourite the picture, please try to fav the original picture, not the ones in the club, k?

FAQ

What are we allowed to submit (contribute) to the club?
Other than related contest entries, all form of fan works are allowed.
Fan works, meaning fanart, fanfiction, cosplay photos, dolls and various others.
However, if they are in photo format (meaning pictures of cosplays and dolls), make sure they are of GOOD quality and not done half heartedly for the sake of it.
HOWEVER! Sole images of fan characters (OCs) are absolutely NOT ALLOWED.

May I submit fan works of some other series?
Nope. Every fan work submitted to the club must be SDK related, or having SDK characters as the main focus.

If I submit fan works of Samurai Deeper Kyo, may I insert characters from other series too?
Yes, although it would be nice if the Samurai Deeper Kyo cast were the main focus, though it's not compulsory.

Could the fan works contain mature/hentai/yaoi/yuri/ecchi content?
MILD ones are accepted, but not any 'explicit' scenes, please.
